About
Twelve years of learning that gentle and rigorous aren't opposites.
Hi, I'm Tara.
I spent the first decade of my career doing well by every external measure and feeling worse every year for it. Tara's Way is the practice I wish someone had handed me back then — one built on clarity, honest pacing, and permission to do things differently.
I trained as an integrative coach after ten years in operations leadership, where I watched brilliant people — myself included — mistake exhaustion for commitment. Since 2014, I've worked with founders, clinicians, and mid-career professionals who are successful on paper and quietly running on empty.
My approach borrows from cognitive-behavioral coaching, contemplative practice, and plain operational discipline. No mysticism, no shame spirals — just a clear-eyed look at what you're doing, why, and what a sustainable version of it could look like.
What I Believe
The values behind every session
Presence over performance
The goal of a session is never to look like you have it together. It's to notice, honestly, where you actually are.
Practicality over theory
Every framework earns its place by making Tuesday easier. If an idea doesn't survive contact with a real week, we drop it.
Honesty over comfort
I'll tell you what I actually see, even when it's not the easy read. Kindness and candor work best together, not apart.
Play over grinding
Curiosity moves people further than discipline alone. We keep room for experiments, detours, and the occasional wrong turn.
The Path Here
How Tara's Way came to be
Burnout, named honestly
After a decade in operations leadership, a health scare forced a hard look at the pace I'd normalized as ambition.
Coach training
Certified through an integrative coaching program combining CBT-based methods with contemplative practice.
First clients, first framework
Tara's Way opened with a handful of 1:1 clients and the earliest version of the Clarity–Consistency–Compassion method.
The Circle launches
Demand for peer accountability led to the first small-group cohort — now run quarterly, capped at eight members.
600+ seasons later
Still coaching in small numbers, on purpose — because the method only works with real attention per person.
